Emotional Intelligence at Work
Emotional intelligence (EI) is the strongest predictor of personal effectiveness, agility and resiliency at work. Individuals with high levels of EI are better able to: recognize and understand their emotions, emotionally charged reactions and impact on other people (Self -Awareness); stay calm, focused and effective, even as pressures and demands increase (Self-Management); understand other people’s emotions and reactions (Social Awareness) and use their understanding to establish and maintain collaborative relationships and contribute to a workplace climate that enables continuous learning and high performance (Relationship Management).
In this workshop you will:
Explore the latest performance research tightly tying EI to exceptional performance, resiliency and success
Discover how our brains work, at work, and how to keep our brains working at their best
Take stock of your individual influencing and collaboration skills
Apply a brain based model and tools for boosting EI, so you can feel your best, do your best and be your best more often.
Building Emotionally Intelligent and High Performing Teams
Groups are smarter than individuals only when they exhibit the qualities of Emotional Intelligence (EI). Everyone in the group contributes to the level of emotional intelligence, but the leader has the greatest impact.
- Dan Goleman

Brain Savvy Change Leadership
Today, all leadership is change leadership. Being smart and business savvy is important, but it is no longer enough. To lead successful, sustainable change, leaders need to be "brain savvy".
I leverage exciting discoveries, techniques and tools based on rock solid science to help leaders lead change and lead their teams through change, with the brain in mind.
In Workshop #1 Understanding the Brain and Change you will:
Develop powerful and practical insights into how the human brain functions and the brain processes and chemistry that underlie instincts, emotions and thinking
Acquire a deeper understanding of what is happening in our brains when we are facing workplace change, why change is so hard and why people resist change or don't change fast enough or go far enough.
Learn tactics for enabling people to work at their best, even when the requirements for change are continuous, accelerated and overlapping.
In Workshop # 2 Leading Your Team Through Change with the Brain in Mind you will apply my brain-based framework for leading your team through change and discover evidence-based practices for:
Building organizational change readiness and leading a team through change
Effectively communicating and translating change messages
Maximizing people's engagement and empowerment in the change process
Attending to the human side of the change experience (people's core needs, feelings and emotionally charged reactions to change)
Influencing a positive workplace climate and culture.
Workshops can be customized for intact team development and large retreat settings.
The “ESI TEAM” Change Leadership Framework
To lead through uncertainty, complexity and continuous change, leaders require new ways of thinking, leading and leading change. This framework was designed to help leaders lead change and lead their team through change with the brain in mind.
The ESI “TEAM” Change Leadership Framework is unique in 3 ways:
The emphasis on leading the team through change versus a focus on structures, systems and processes
The linkage of emotional and social intelligence to great change leadership
The validation of change leadership practices through both the lens of organizational change research and the lens of neuroscience.
